Thank Goodness It’s Friday!
Even if you don’t like baseball, watch and listen to the video. I have always been a baseball guy. Just love the game. I love that my son is playing college baseball right now. He is following his dreams. I pray that he is working as hard as the athletes described in this video and that he remembers what he is doing is not about playing a game, but about properly preparing himself for life. The way he treats this opportunity will set the stage for how he handles work, relationships, struggles and success for the rest of his life.
You see, there is a great statement in the video where he says, “How far an athlete will push his limits when no one is watching – that is the true mark of a champion.” That statement is true in every aspect of life…not just sports. You can coast by and hope things work or you can be focused, dedicated and intentional about every aspect of your life. It’s then that you will achieve true success. It’s then you will taste the abundance that God has for you. It’s then you will truly understand the love that has been offered to you as you are able to offer it to others.
How much effort are you putting into life. How much effort are you putting into work, relationships, service…everything. You don’t recognize successful people by what they have. You recognize them by what they do.
Maybe you need to put a little more effort in while no one is watching? Maybe a little more study time, prayer time, work, exercise, time with your family….Maybe you need to step up and lead. Just maybe…..
