Thank Goodness It’s Tuesday!
John Clayton once said, “Thanksgiving is a time when the world gets to see just how blessed and how workable the Christian system is. The emphasis is not on giving or buying, but on being thankful and expressing that appreciation to God and to one another.”
This is a great truth, that unfortunately is often overlooked. We see thanksgiving as a time for food, football and great shopping deals. Not too much in line with the quote above. Sure many will travel to see family and friends, but we usually complain about gas prices, the traffic, or all the work that we left behind.
We need to find a time to be truly thankful for all that we have. Set aside the hustle and bustle, the worry, and the planning and just focus on thanking God for the countless blessings you receive everyday. Remember the little things like the air we breathe, a smile, a childs laughter….the little things we take for granted everyday. Just take time to be thankful. It will go a long way towards changing your attitude towards the world…..
